Re-open a job from Queue in JobComposer using Archive feature

Re-open a job from Queue in JobComposer using Archive feature

Problem/Question
Facing problems with unintended different print outs, questions arises like
"How can I be sure, two completed jobs were done with the same settings?" or
"Can I reproduce a done job in JobComposer?"

Solution/Work-Around
Ergosoft allows you not to only process jobs in one direction, from the JobComposer to the Print/CutQueue but also from the queue back to the JobComposer. Using the Archive feature from the Queue (or automatic Archive function in Job Processing Policy) you can always re-open a done job in JobComposer.

To re-build a done job, do the following steps
  1. Select a job from the queue - Print, Error or Done section.
  2. Click <Archive...> from the context menu (right click).
  3. Select which data you want to include to the archive.

-> The archived file (.pla) gets stored to C:\Users\Public\Documents\EsRip\16\Data\Archive\Jobs
  4. Open JobComposer and navigate to File > Import Job from Archive...
  5. Choose the desired .pla file with <Open> or by double click.
  6. Set a destination to store the job file.
  7. A prompt appears, asking if you wish to save and use the archived print environment.

-> Click <Yes> to ensure the print environment settings are exactly the same.
Note: Now you can see all the images, modifications, cutlines and settings of the original job, even temporary changes in color management and on the print environment are restored.
