No access to the Print Environment download server
Problem/Question
When clicking the <Download> button in the Print Environment Manager, an error message is displayed that the connection to the server for the download cannot be established.
This problem usually comes from the Windows firewall and access rights.
Solution/Work-Around
To enable access in the Windows firewall, please follow these steps:
- Open Windows Settings
- Click on <Update & Security>
- Select "Windows Security" tab
- Click on the button <Open Windows Security>
- Select <Firewall & network protection> in the Windows Security window
- Click on Link "allow an app through firewall"
- Click the button "Change Settings"
- Click on <Allow another app>
- Click on <Browse...>
- Navigate to the Ergosoft program folder (e. g. "C:\Program Files\Ergosoft 16")
- Select "EsJobCmp.exe"
- Click <Add>
Afterwards, when you try again using the <Download> button, the list in the download window is updated and Print Environments can be downloaded.
