How can the Overlay Button be activated

How can the Overlay Button be activated

Problem/Question

When placing two images numerically on top of each other, the <Overlay> button cannot be activated.

"Why ist the Overlay Button grayed out?"

 

The button cannot be activated if White is present in the Ink Assignment in the selected Print Environment.


Solution/Work-Around
  • Change to a 4C (CMYK) Print Environment

or

(if you want/need to use a Print Environment with White Spot Color Channel(s))

  • Check Box "Allow Overlap" activate at  Position in Actions & Properties
  • Use the Alt Key + Mouse curser moving one Image over an other
