File could not be parsed

File could not be parsed

Problem/Question
When importing an image, the following error message is displayed and no preview is generated for the image:

"Error [102] File could not be parsed"

This kind of problem is usually caused either by an image not conforming to the standards of the file-format it was saved in (e.g. PDF), or an issue with the import filter of the Software.

Solution/Work-Around
  1. open it in a program that is native to the format (e.g. Adobe Acrobat for PDF or Illustrator for EPS)
  2. re-save it again as EPS, PDF or TIFF
  3. delete snapshots using the button Delete All Snapshots in JobComposer menu Tools-> Application Defaults -> Application -> Snapshots to ensure that a new snapshot is created
  4. import the image file again
