How to Export and Import HotFolder Configurations
Problem/Question
I have one or more HotFolders configured and I would like to back them up or transfer them to a different Installation. How can I do that?
Solution/Work-Around
HotFolder settings can easily be exported to external XML files. You can either export the currently active HotFolder or all HotFolders in your Ergosoft RIP.
Export HotFolder configuration
- Open the HotFolder application.
- Go to HotFolder > Export HotFolder as XML...
(select Export All HotFolders as XML... to export all your HotFolder configurations)
- Store the XML file to your desired location.
Import HotFolder configuration
- Open the HotFolder application.
- Go to HotFolder > Import New from XML... and select the XML file that you want to import.
(A prompt will appear asking you to select the surveyed Windows folder.) - Navigate to the Windows folder you want to link to the Ergosoft HF.
