Copy Protection Error: No License found
Problem/Question
When Starting the RIP Software an error message shows up:
"No license or dongle found"
This error message in general indicates that the CodeMeter driver cannot find the dongle.
This can also happen when no valid license for the used product is found.
Solution/Work-Around
License Verification
- First verify
if the dongle is correctly plugged in
- Open "CodeMeter Control Center" (CmContainer-Icon ) from the tray/taskbar and check if the dongle is detected
- Click in the "CodeMeter Control Center" on "WebAdmin" and check the valid licenses
(A screen shot of this WebAdmin license overview can also help the customer care agent)
Other useful hints:
- Install the Software on a different Computer to test if the dongle can be detected
- Try to plugging the dongle into a other USB port
- Make sure to run the latest dongle firmware
Dongle Driver Verification
- Open "CodeMeter ControlCenter" (CmContainer-Icon ) from the taskbar
- Go to "Help > About" to find out the current version of the "CodeMeter ControlCenter"
If the version of the CodeMeter Control Center is lower than 5.0 you must update to version 6.20 or higher.
