Rotate

Rotating images is often useful to save media, diversify the print direction on a structured media etc.

Note that Printing rotated images consumes more calculation time and therefore can reduce the output speed.

To rotate or mirror an image, access the Rotate/Mirror dialog in Properties. Select the desired value (Possible values are 0, 90°, 180° or 270°) for the rotation and press the “Apply” button to confirm your setting.

Images may also be mirrored  horizontally by checking the “Mirror” box in the Rotate/Mirror dialog.

Rotating Images

Rotates Full images by 90°, 180° or 270° - Rotate icon on the Properties window, R key or Image > Rotate.

Rotating Image Parts

Rotates image parts (E.g. from tiling) By 90° at a time - Rotate Part icon on the toolbar, Alt+Ctrl+R, or Image > Rotate Part.

Mirroring Images

Select image or image part and access the Rotate/Mirror dialog through  Rotate/Mirror on the Properties window, by pressing the  icon on the toolbar, by pressing Ctrl+M on the Keyboard or Image > Mirror.

Scaling can be done manually by clicking and dragging one of the blue dots at the corners of a selected Image, or numerically by selecting an Image and opening the Properties/Scaling Dialog. After entering the desired settings, confirm the changes by pressing the “Apply” Button.

Scaling Images

Manual Scaling

Proportional scaling by dragging one corner of the image. Pressing the Shift Key while dragging allows for unproportional scaling to distort the image proportions.

Scaling through Image Presets

Scaling can also be done through a predefined Image Preset the defines the scaling factor or output dimensions. To use a Preset, select it from the “Image Format Preset” dropdown menu and click “Apply”.
You may also create a new Image Format Preset on the fly by clicking the  Icon next to the dropdown menu. For more information on Image Format Presets, see Image Presets

Numerical Scaling

Access the scaling Dialog through the  on the Properties window, the toolbar, or by pressing the S-key.

Check “Keep Proportion” to scale the image while keeping the aspect ration the same. Scaling Values will automatically be adjusted to retain image proportions after either width or height is entered.

Scaling Values can be entered in either the active measurement unit of the RIP (Cm, mm, inch, pt, etc.), % Relative (To the current image size), or % Absolute (Of the original image size).
